Men's Winter 2010 Basketball Registration Information
(Updated as of 26 October 2009)

Players must register on-line individually each year.   Payments to the team captain will not be accepted.

Please have your team captain's name available for registration.  Refunds will be processed for those players not assigned to a team.

Due to on-court issues each year, we will be enforcing our Rule Enforcement policy.

This league is for men in the Burke community over the ages of 35  (strictly enforced) for families living in the Burke community.  We define the Burke community to encompass Burke, Fairfax Station and West Springfield.

There are 3 Divisions in the league, cost is $90 per player.   This covers the Fairfax County player tax of $5.50.

Deadline for on-line registration is 29 November 2009. Click on the link below to begin the registration process.

Please be prepared to pay by credit card (MC/Visa). Checks will not be excepted due to the intense delay in obtaining funds.

Each player receives a team shirt.

Age - Players must be 35+ as of 1 January 2010.

Players must be assigned to a team before registering.  Contact Randy Haswell for a possible team assignment. There are very few open slots each season, individuals will be assigned to either existing or new teams on a 1st come/1st serve basis.

The season is usually about 12-14 games starting in mid-December and ending with a single elimination playoff for all teams that ends at the end of March.

The number of games is dependent on available gym space in the area.

The games are normally held @ 8:00 and 9:00 P.M. from Monday to Friday.

Teams usually have 8 players and play 4 on 4.

Games are refereed by Cardinal and Burke Basketball.

We really encourage coaches and  referees in the Burke Basketball organization to play.  These are the guys who the league was created for.  Games are meant to be casual and fun.

Team Captains must notify the Men's League Commissioner with their intent on fielding a team for the Winter '09 season by 26 October 2009.

Team rosters are to be turned into Burke Basketball in late November.

Team Scrimmages will be held in late November.

Season begins early December.
